On May 1, 2017, the OAMP Board of Directors asked for volunteers for a Working Group to investigate the professional regulation of medical physicists in Ontario. The OAMP Board has observed a number of activities in Ontario and across Canada that have the potential to affect the practice of medical physics in Ontario.
The Working Group’s report is the first step in providing information to OAMP members about professional regulation of medical physicists.
At present, the Board of Directors has not taken a position on whether to pursue professional regulation of medical physicists. The Board desires that OAMP members are fully acquainted with the purposes, processes, requirements, and implications of professional regulation–to that end, we have prepared the following slideshow.
